DON’T READ THE BIBLE

          That’s right; don’t read the Bible – STUDY IT!  Many Christians may read their Bibles, but not enough believers really do.  Some even endeavor to read the Bible through in a year and follow established reading programs.      It’s nice to say they have read through the whole Bible, but what have they learned; other than to gain bragging rights.

          Study of the scriptures gives insight as to what is written.  It provides you with the why, the how, and the what, which provides a deeper understanding of the written Word and the plan and purpose of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:15 – Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 

          Just reading through the Bible will give you familiarity with it, but does not provide you with the depth of knowledge that studying does.  Study equips you to rightly divide the word of truth. 

          Therefore, STUDY THE BIBLE!   The Holy Bible is the handbook of LIFE as it reveals God’s love and plan for mankind.  Don’t just read it as you would a book; there is a lot more in it than you realize!
