GOD KNOWS IT ALL
By W. G. Guy
Luke 12:2-3 – For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Almighty God sees and knows all, even what people do in the darkness in order to not be seen. Thus everyone’s deeds, works, words, and even their very thoughts are known to God; and it all will be judged accordingly. Nobody knows your thoughts or imaginations; but God does. Therefore we must remove those things that we secretly hold to in the darkness. Consider the admonition that Paul gave to the church at Rome:
Romans 13:11-14 – And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
True believers, who have repented and had their sins forgiven, will be acquitted of all their errors and faults, including their thoughts, if they are brought in line with Him and His Word.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 – For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
With our names written in The Lamb’s Book of Life, our works are judged by Christ for obedience to Him and His Word. We are thus rewarded for being a good and faithful servant to Him.
1 Corinthians 3:8-9 – Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15 – For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Revelation 22:12 – And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
However, the sinners and wicked who have rejected Jesus’ atoning work on the cross, or have worked against Christ as false prophets, teachers and preachers, they will face the judgment of God the Father at the Great White Throne judgment.
Revelation 20:12-13 – And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Even what is done in some churches, rituals and practices that are hidden, will be made known and judged by God: such things that are done in the false “other” church that man has built.
Revelation 18:4-8 – And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Many years ago I spent some time in Guatemala, where I worked with missionary Norman Parish, ministering to the native Mayan Indians. One day we visited the city of Antiqua where he showed me a Catholic Cathedral that was damaged by the recent earthquake. Rescuers discovered a basement under the main floor that had a pentagram etched in the floor. This is where the priests would hold a Satanic Mass. They worshipped the devil hidden from the view and awareness of the regular parishioners.
Not only are such occult practices observed in some churches, but pastors and many so-called “Christians” engage in hidden behaviors, like pornography, adultery, homosexuality, and many other sinful and carnal activities that they think no one knows about. BUT GOD SEES AND KNOWS!
Then we have those who are the false anointed ones, (false Christs) who are not serving the Lord but serving themselves; the wolves in sheep’s clothing. They will be fully exposed and dealt with by the LORD.
Matthew 24:4-5 – And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ (anointed); and shall deceive many
Matthew 24:24 – For there shall arise false Christs (anointed ones), and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
You don’t want to be one of those preachers, teachers or prophets who have a negative effect on the church that Jesus gave His life for!
Matthew 7:21-23 – Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Yes! God knows who you are and what you do; both as an individual and as a church! This is recorded in Revelation chapter 2 and 3 when Jesus spoke to each of the seven churches where He said, “I know thy works”.
You will be rewarded based on your faithfulness to Him. Not only that, but even your thoughts are known to Him, and they shall be exposed. He knows them all because there is NOTHING HIDDEN to Him.
1 Corinthians 4:5 – ……until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts……:
Consider what God did to the wicked that lived before the flood of Noah:
Genesis 6:5 – And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
God even gave such a word of warning to King Solomon, the wisest of all men.
1 Chronicles 28:9 – And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts:
When the wicked plot against God’s righteous ones, He knows their plans.
Job 21:27 – Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me, (and mine).
Most of man’s thoughts and imaginations are selfish and prideful, focused on self rather than on God and others.
Psalm 94:11 – The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
True believers want to please God, not only with their behavior, but also with their thoughts.
Psalm 139:23-24 – Search me O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there ne any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
God’s judgment is coming for all of man’s works and thoughts:
Isaiah 66:18 – For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
Jesus also has the ability to know what you are thinking:
Matthew 9:4 – And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
Matthew 12:25 – And Jesus knew their thoughts,……
Finally, God also knows all the plans of the enemy, Satan; and God’s plans are far superior to the devil’s. For what the devil meant for evil, God will turn to our good as we place our trust in Him and His Word.
Therefore, nothing is hid from God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Thus it is important to guard your hearts desires and thoughts; because they will all be exposed if not dealt with in true repentance and forgiveness, and brought into line with Him and His Word.
