GOD KNOWS IT ALL
By W. G. Guy
There are three attributes of God that reveals His absolute sovereignty. He is Omnipotent, which means all powerful; He is Omnipresent, which means totally aware everywhere; and Omniscient, which means all knowing. Thus:
Luke 8:17 – For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
God knows everything; He knows all about you, and everyone, and everything else. He knows everything you do and have done; He knows everything you say, and even what you think. Nothing is hidden from Him. This is what makes Him a true, just and righteous judge of every one of us when it is time for each of us to face Him.
His knowledge of you is so complete that He knows all about you; even before you were born, or formed in the womb. For example Isaac’s wife Rebecca:
Genesis 25:23-24 – And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
Similarly this is revealed regarding the prophet Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 1:4-5 –Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Again, a prophet brought the Word of God to the woman who would bear Samson.
Judges 13:5 – For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
A similar thing happened regarding the conception and birth of John the Baptist in which the child’s future was foretold.
Luke 1:13-17 – But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
Then, of course, we have the message given to Mary regarding the miraculous conception and birth of Jesus; and this was foretold several hundred years before His birth.
Isaiah 53:2-5 – For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Note: the entirety of Isaiah 53 is prophecy foretelling the life and purpose of Jesus the Christ.
The angel Gabriel came to tell Mary something she had no knowledge of:
Luke 1:30-33 – And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
God planned things ahead of time knowing what would transpire with the passage of time and the works the Satan and his fallen evil angels. God even planned for the redemption of fallen man before the fall ever occurred.
Ephesians 1:4-5 – According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
My personal testimony is an example of how God knows all about us before we are even formed in the womb. In 1979, my daughter was born, but I knew about her on the day she was conceived. We were pastoring a church in northern Minnesota and my wife went to visit her parents who lived in Pennsylvania. My wife and I were intimate the night before I took her to the airport in Minneapolis. After she departed, the next day I was in the church praying, then I left to go back to the parsonage across the parking lot. As I was walking I suddenly felt something come over me, so I stopped, and immediately I had a vision, and with my eyes wide open. I also received a very warm sensation within me and the vision began; I saw a young female child that was about three or four years old. I saw her from behind, and she had long blond hair that was wavy in the back, not curly, but wavy. Then I heard a voice say, “she is yours”.
Wow! What a surprise! God just showed me my daughter and her conception likely occurred within hours, but I saw her as a young child. The vision ended and I went into the house and into my study. After I sat down God even gave me her name. She was named after a female judge of ancient Israel – Deborah: I wrote it down: Deborah Lynn Guy.
The same week, at our Wednesday night service, I told the congregation the vision I had and described my daughter. Obviously they had a hard time accepting it. Two weeks later my wife returned from visiting her parents and I picked her up at the airport. We then traveled by car to Kansas City for a Church Growth Convention. After we got settled into our hotel I told her that she was pregnant and that she would have a baby girl and her name was Deborah Lynn, Obviously she was startled, but not completely, because she then told me that she was supposed to have her time of the month, and it has not happened yet.
Just as God showed me, nine months later little Debbie was born; a beautiful blond girl; a gift from God, who knew about her and showed her to me. Then the church finally believed that I had a real vision from the LORD.
I will skip a lot of what happened in the meantime, but when Debbie was about a year old, I looked at her nice long blond hair and noticed that it was not wavy like I saw in the vision. That night I prayed and told the LORD, “You showed me her hair was wavy in the back, and I want what you showed me”. The next day her hair was wavy in the back, and has been ever since.
Thus God knows about you even before you are totally formed in the womb. Yes He knows about you. Therefore it behooves each of you to commit yourselves into His hands so that His plans for you can be fulfilled without the hindrances of the world, the flesh with its lust, or of the devil who hates you and will do what he can to destroy or ruin your faith, and even your life in any way possible.
John 10:10 – The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Again, God knows who you are; where you are, as well as what you are doing; He knows exactly how you are living your life. Here is another example that Jesus knew.
John 1:47-48 – Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
In addition to God’s total knowledge of you, there is a record in heaven about you; it is all written down to be presented to you at the final judgment; both the good and the bad are recorded.
Malachi 3:16 – Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
Daniel 7:9-10 – I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
Every soul that ever lived will be judged, either by Christ for those who know and received Him; or by God for those who have not believed in Jesus as the redeemer.
Revelation 20:11-12 – And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:
There is another book in heaven that is the most important book ever. It is important that your name is recorded in this book because it is the BOOK OF LIFE.
Revelation 2012-15 – and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
The only things that are erased from these books are your sins that you have confessed and repented of.
Hebrews 10:17 – And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
God also has total loving care those who are His children through belief in Jesus Christ, as stated in Romans 8:28-39. (Please read for yourself.)
1 Peter 5:6-11 – Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Please understand that God knows all about you and has a complete record of your life. Every one of us will be judged according to what is recorded in heaven. How will you fare when you face the judge?
