IS AMERICA UNDER GOD’S JUDGMENT ?

                There are currently Christian writers and podcasters that are claiming that America is now experiencing God’s judgment due to situations and circumstances we are facing as a nation.  If this is true what would be the cause of such judgment, or shall we say, corrective chastisement, to get us to repent and turn around and change what we are doing that has invoked God’s judgment.

          Consider the sins that America has embarked on for far too many years.
  • ABORTION – shedding of innocent blood which amounts to a sacrifice to Satan.
  • IDOLATRY – worshipping things or persons other than God, devoting time, money and attention to other than God and Christ.
  • HOMOSEXUALITY – the unnatural use of the body in lustful and abominable practices.
  • PEDEPHILIA – Sexual abuse of children by adults.
  • ADULTARY & FORNICATION – improper sexual activity out of wedlock.
  • COVETOUSNESS – lust for property, power and position for personal gain.
  • LYING AND DECIET – being untruthful for personal gain and advancement.
  • MURDER – causing death of the innocent by wars, terrorism, passion or selfishness.
  • VIOLENCE – a means of gaining control over others.
  • CORRUPTION – depravity for the purpose of personal gain and benefit.
  • IMMORALITY – lude and anti-social; anti-godliness in thought and behavior. 

Note that all of the above sinful practices are evident in our society as well as being promoted by the corruption in the U.S. Government by laws and decrees.

     Next consider all the various threats that are coming against America: threats that should be driving us to our knees before God to ask Him for forgiveness and deliverance from such threats.

  • ISLAMIC JIHAD
  • GLOBALISM
  • FAILING ECONOMY AND COLLAPSE
  • DRUG ADDITION
  • CORRUPTION IN GOVERNMENT, MEDIA AND INSTITUTIONS
  • DECEPTION IN GOVERNMENT, MEDIA AND INSTITUTIONS
  • APATHY
  • COMPALANCY
  • SELFISH INDULGANCE
  • LAWLESSNESS
  • EARTHQUAKES AND NATURAL DISASTERS
  • PESTILANCE AND HEALTH ISSUES
  • DROUGHTS AND FAMINES

     The next issue that must be dealt with is the sin, negligence and corruption that can be found in many of our churches today.

1 Peter 4:17 –  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

     What issues need to be corrected?
  • CLASS DISTINCTION – the separation of clergy from laity, creating a political hiarchy and division that is not Biblical.
  • FALSE MINISTERS, PREACHERS PROPHETS AND CHRISTS Who bring great deception that deceives MANY.
  • FALSE HOLIDAYS – holy days celebrated that are not in the Bible and are based on ancient pagan practices, observances and rituals.
  • Christmas
  • Good Friday
  • Lent
  • Easter (instead of Passover and Resurrection)
  • Halloween
 
     All the while ignoring God’s ordained Holy Days; each of which are prophetic representations fulfilled in Jesus Christ:
  • Passover
  • Pentecost
  • Feast of Trumpets
  • Day of Atonement
  • Feast of Tabernacles

    Then we have additions to the church that have evolved since its beginning:

  • Church buildings or campuses that are expensive and only used a couple times a week.  (Church used to meet in homes, informal settings where the Holy Spirit was free to operate.)
  • Garments and priestly vestments that try to emulate the ancient priesthood of Judaism.
  • Indulgences and Purgatory.
  • Sainthood
  • Worship and veneration of Mary as Queen of Heaven.
  • Tithes required, used to finance the current religious system; offerings are intended for the poor and needy according to the New Testament.
  • Many individual practices of various denominations that are not scriptural but a religious pretense.

    The church of these last days is not at all like it was in the beginning due to the presence of false preachers, prophets and teachers.  The church of today needs to be purged of what is not Biblical truth.  Jesus even warned that the example of the church of Laodicea would represent the church of the last days.

Revelation 3:14-20 – And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.   So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.   Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:   I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

      Likewise, the apostle Paul gave us the same warning about the church in the last days:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 – This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

          It is obvious that Paul is speaking about the church on the last days because, where do you find a “form of godliness” but in a church; certainly not in the world?

          Now consider the threats faced by Christians and the churches.
  • ISLAM
  • GLOBALISM – one world religion
  • OCCULTISM AND WITCHCRAFT
  • FALSE PROPHETS, PREACHERS AND ANOINTED ONES (Christs)
  • CULTS
  • DECEPTION
  • APOSTACY
  • CORRUPTION
  • COMPLACENCY
  • SELF INDULGEBCE
  •  DISREGARD FOR TRUTH
  • LUKE WARMNESS
  • The issues listed by Paul above.

    Jesus declared that He is the Light of the World, and those who receive Him by faith receive His light; thus Jesus said that we who believe are the light of the world, His light in us is that light of the world.  Note that where light enters, darkness (evil) flees.  Too many churches still have darkness in them.  This darkness is the evil and deception of false doctrines and teachings of man and demons.

Ephesians 4:14 – That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

    This is the reason that Jesus gave us the example of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-12.  The foolish ones let their lights go out; thus they were in darkness and were not allowed to enter into the festivities with the bridegroom.  This describes many, perhaps even half, of the churches today.

     Considering all that has been presented here, it is obvious that God needs to bring corrective chastisement (punishment) in the form of judgment upon America and on the church!  The purpose is that we would repent and turn back to God with a whole heart, not just partially or symbolically.
America, and especially many churches need to repent and turn back to God so they can worship in Spirit and in Truth – John 4:23-24.  (Truth is light, false doctrines are not truth but are darkness and evil.)  It is high time to REPENT!

     In order to repent one must acknowledge that they have sins the need to be put off and repented of.

1 John 1:10 –But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.   If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.   If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
