LIGHT THERAPY

Light therapy is a recent means used in healing situations; particularly for tissue and blood vessel repairing. Forms of light therapy have been advertised on television commercials recently. However, light therapy is not a new thing as many suppose; Jesus introduced it nearly two thousand years ago, His light therapy heals the human spirit of sin as well as sickness and demonic oppression.
John 8:12 – Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
What is the opposite of light? DARKNESS: which also represents evil, wickedness and corruption in this world; the powers of the devil and his workers.
John 9:5 – As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
What is the source of this light?
1 John 1:5 – This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
What does light do? It drives out darkness; since darkness is the absence of light. Light illuminates, exposes and reveals what is hidden or not seen: as such, light is also revelation, providing understanding. Thus light removes darkness, or that which is caused by darkness (evil); which needs to be removed by light, the application of treatments of Jesus and the Word of God, which is the true and pure light of life.
Divine light of God comes by faith believing in Jesus who God sent to redeem mankind and bring him out of sin and darkness; destroying the works of Satan, the god of this world, and his evil.
2 Corinthians 4:4 – In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Thus the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the light that illuminates us by His Spirit within us. We then are seen as the children of God as His light dwells in us.
In the past we who now believe were once walking in darkness, not having His light shine unto us. That changed when we accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord: when His light shined unto us and changed us.
Ephesians 5:8 – For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
We are to let that divine light shine so those still in darkness can see that there is true redeeming light available.
Matthew 5:14-15 – Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
When you walk in the light there are no stumbling blocks that catch you unaware.
John 11:10 – But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
Light, which is illumination or knowledge, prevents you from being ignorant of what God has planned for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 – But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Having the Light of God in you is an identifier showing who you are in this dark and perverse world.
Philippians 2:15 – That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Having His divine light in you makes us free from Satan’s ploys to steal, kill and destroy.
Acts 26:18 – To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
1 Peter 2:9 – But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;
John 12:35-36 – Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
This is real light therapy because it exposed the darkness of evil and cleanses the soul as we walk in the light of the knowledge of the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 4:6-7 – For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of
the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Jesus is that divine light that illuminates us with the knowledge of Him by His Holy Spirit who abides with us. Keep that light burning: the fuel for that light is prayer and fellowship with Him in the Spirit. Don’t let that light go out as did the five foolish virgins, (Matthew 25:1-12), who did not get the benefits that the light brings.
Let that His light therapy light shine in you continually: His light therapy is more than therapeutic! It is total redemption!
