THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY IN
By W. G. Guy
Lord has laid on my heart that the church of today has no resemblance of the church of the first century when it began. What we have today is a corrupt version of church that is not at all pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is coming for a church without “spot or wrinkle”, and will properly represent Him.
Ephesians 5:25b-27 – ….even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
But today’s church is very spotted, wrinkled and blemished at this time. Something has to change before His return, and the Holy Spirit is going to effect the necessary changes to prepare the church for Christ to receive unto Himself.
1 John 3:1-3 – Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
I have taught for decades that there are two churched in the world today: the one that man is building, and the one Jesus said He would build.
Matthew 16:16-18 – And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The rock that Jesus said He would build His church upon is the statement that Peter declared: Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God “. Peter is not the rock Jesus spoke about. However, Peter is the pebble that man built the false church on; the manmade mountain of which is described in the vision the LORD gave to me years ago.
Numerous prophets have declared that the Lord is going to bring about a change in the church; this change is to correct its current perverted state. This change is going to be painful for many who call themselves Christians. The reason is because that which has been built up wrong has to be torn down. Jesus warned about those who are disobedient and who build the church man’s way, and not according to His directions.
Matthew 7:21-27 – Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Psalm 127:1 – Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it:
I have noticed two different messages of the prophets recently; one group prophesies “gloom and doom” and the other prophesies “light and glory”. I have shared with some of my minister friends that I’m troubled by this seemingly clash of prophetic words and they also see the conflict in word. Then recently in a prayer session about this very issue the Lord showed me that there is no clash in prophetic words, but the difference is in the timing of the events prophesied. The “gloom and doom” precedes the glory and light. This sounds much like the ministry that God gave to the prophet Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 1:10 – See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
The Lord has many of His selected ministers having various gifts prepared for a specific day and hour to bring a restoration of the Lord Jesus Christ to His church. They have been tested and proven faithful in their walk with Him, and He will bring them forth to usher in this work. We are now on the verge of this restoration, but it requires the tearing down of what has been built wrong and the re-building according to His plan.
In December, 1988 the Lord gave this writer a vision of the two churches. This was a progressive vision that was added to for several days; each time I meditated on what was previously revealed more was shown to me. It began as I was feeling depressed as Christmas approached, I had very little income and was not able to celebrate the season as normal: I didn't feel very "Christmassy". So I began to pray and ask the Lord to help me get that Christmas feeling, and I began to focus on the birth of Jesus as I was driving to my work as a tour bus driver.
As I focused my attention on the babe in the manger, I heard the Lord say, "Don't look down on a babe in the manger, look up at the King of Glory". Then, in my spirit I looked up and saw Him. It was Jesus, dressed in battle array holding up His Sword in His hand. His eyes were like flames of fire and his appearance was extremely fierce; so fierce that you did not want to be His enemy. What I saw was similar to His description as recorded in Revelation 19; the warrior Commander of a mighty army.
The next day, while reflecting on the vision and the fierceness of Jesus appearance, the vision resumed; and it was as if a telephoto view was zooming out to take in a wider picture. I saw His saints, the true church as a spiritual army, standing at attention before Him. Then I heard the command to, "Fall in - in rank". Jesus was directing all of His servants to get in their assigned places.
Again, the next day, while doing more reflecting on the vision received thus far, the vision resumed as the view zoomed back even more. Now I saw that Jesus and His church (spiritual army) appeared to be standing on top of a mountain whose top was a flat plateau. I also observed people climbing up the side of this mountain trying to get to the top to join into His church.
Then as the scene zoomed out even more, I saw that this mountain rose up out of a sea; a sea of humanity, the world. The mountain itself was actually composed of a great mass of people. Suddenly I observed the mountain come under some sort of an attack that was knocking the climbers back down into the sea of humanity. The warfare was so great that eventually the entire mountain completely collapsed, falling back down into the sea of humanity from which it originated.
What was very noticeable was that Jesus and His church, or army of saints, were still standing in the same place high above all the sea of humanity. They had been untouched by the attacks coming against this man-made mountain. It was obvious that Jesus and His saints didn't need the mountain for they were not really standing on it in the first place; they were above it. The mountain actually obscured the view of Christ and His true church which could not be seen from the sea of humanity until the manmade mountain was removed. The mountain was the false church built by man. The false church was so large that it prevented the world from seeing Christ and the true church until it was removed. (It seemed sort of apocalyptic – Matthew 24:36-41).
So I understood that the mountain arising from the sea of humanity was representative of the church that man has been building, the harlot church, which may be the mystery (mystical) Babylon of Revelation Chapter 17. This false church that man built actually obscured the world's view of Jesus and His true church. This was the design of Satan.
The view of people climbing up this man-made mountain to join the ranks of Christ’s church is fully represented in John 14:6, and
John 10. Here Jesus presents Himself as the Porter or Gatekeeper; the only means of access to God, our Heavenly Father.
John 14:6 – Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Those who try to join His true church by any other way cannot gain access, and are considered evil in their efforts, because they are doing things Satan’s way, who is referred to as “the thief”.
John 10:1-10 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Jesus clearly identifies the false church that man builds.
The vision also represents the time of the separation of the wheat from the tares - the true church from the false church - Matthew 13:24-30. The church that man has built was no longer distinguishable from all the rest of the world so it disappeared back into the sea of humanity where it originated. The true church, the saints and followers of Christ, stood with Him and were now easily identifiable. The “other” church was no longer visible as a church since it looked just like the rest of the world and returned to its corrupt system since it was that same system that it was built upon.
Saints, it’s time to prepare for a major upheaval, not only in the church, but in all the systems and institutions in the world. THE TIME OF SHAKING IS ABOUT TO OCCUR!
Hebrews 12:25-27 – See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain
The final outcome will be glorious, but the path to get there will be troubling. So we all need to draw close to the Lord and repent of anything in our lives that may be an offense to our Lord, because He is coming for a church that is without spot or wrinkle, or any sort of blemish. He also made provision for our being cleaned up through His blood and our confession of sin and receiving His forgiveness.
Hold fast to His Word and let it abide in you and lead you in this life; then you are truly part of His church. As it is written:
1 John 1:5-10 – This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1 John 2:1-6 – My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
