REBUILDING JERUSALEM’S TEMPLE
By W. G. Guy
Over the years there has been a lot of discussion about rebuilding the Temple of God in Jerusalem. There are currently indications that this planned building will soon begin. What will it take to initiate this anticipated event? I have long declared that the Israeli people will demand the rebuilding of the temple when it is revealed that they have located the hidden Ark of the Covenant.
Israel’s officials know where the Ark is, and they have it in their possession; but they have kept it secret for security reasons. They know that as soon as they reveal that they have it, the people will demand that the temple be rebuilt. This would create a political and diplomatic problem for Israel in the whole middle east area.
The Levitical priesthood has already prepared all the furnishings, instruments, and vestments needed, in addition to having trained those priests who will serve to establish temple worship. They even have multiple red heifers for which one is needed for sacrifice that is required to initiate this process.
The discovery of the Ark is a very unique adventure that goes back to the 1970’s and 80’s. The Ark was discovered by amateur archeologist, Ron Wyatt. (See Ron Wyatt Archeological web site for detailed information on his discoveries.)
Ron was told by the Holy Spirit that the Ark was hidden in a cave carved out of the rocks that formed the famous hill called Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified. He dug his way into the area, which had multiple chambers, and found the Ark, which he photographed. He noticed that when he looked up to the ceiling of this chamber that he saw light. It turned out that this light was due to the rock being split open to the surface allowing the light to shine through.
His curiosity led him to go back up to the surface to view the split in the rock and found that the split was right at the socket that was carved into the rock where the cross of crucifixion was inserted into the ground. This was God’s divine plan for the redemption of mankind by Jesus fulfilling that plan.
When Jesus died, there was an earthquake that the split the rocks at Mt Calvary; this allowed the blood of Jesus to flow down through the split in the rock to land on the Mercy Seat of Ark in order to fulfill God’s plan of redemption.
Ron also took a scrapping off of the surface of the Mercy Seat and took it to an Israeli laboratory to have it checked out. The lab techs applied a saline solution to the sample and were surprised when the blood sample came alive. They were also amazed to discover that the blood sample had the normal X chromosomes, but had only one Y chromosome. They then asked Ron whose blood this was, to which he replied, “It is your Messiah’s blood”.
Ron began telling about this discovery on Christian TV channels like CBN and TBN. Ron died prematurely, and I suspect that he was “taken out” by the Israel’s Masood, because the Israeli government did not want this news getting out yet because of the uproar it would create. Most likely, when Israel begins the building of the temple, this will trigger Islam, and Satan’s forces, into a fury of anger that will initiate threats of war from the Muslim nations.
This will likely produce the environment for the “man of peace”, that is spoken of by the prophet Daniel, to intervene and bring peace in this situation. This is indicated in Daniel's Seventy Weeks revelation that deals with Jerusalem. It is the last of these weeks, the seventieth week, (the last seven years before the return of Jesus), that we are concerned about.
Daniel 9:27 – And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
This man’s focus will be on the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. It appears that animal sacrifices will resume; although they are not needed since Jesus paid for all our sins. However, the Israeli’s do not yet recognize this fact, so they resume animal sacrifices since they now have the Ark on which to sprinkle the blood of the lambs.
Indications are that this person will negotiate a peace between Israel and its Islamic neighbors to allow the temple to be rebuilt. He seems to dominate the scene, and will continue to do so for about three and a half years as the temple is being rebuilt. At this point, when the temple is completed, and ready to be dedicated, he changes his character and reveals who and what he really is. He now wants to be the one worshipped as god, and shuts down all duties of the priests in offering the sacrifices. Then, “all hell breaks loose”, and he is allowed to do this “even until the consummation”, the end of the age when Jesus returns.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 – Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Since Israel is about ready to start this end-time process, we know that the return of Jesus Christ is very near, even at the door. Thus how shall we live in these last days? Are we going to be faithful as His ambassadors and stand for Him and righteousness, or are we going to compromise with the world and follow its rebellious and sinful ways of this corrupt leader?
Romans 13:11-14 – And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Time is short and being prepared for the days to come is essential!
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
Luke 21:28 & 36 – And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Here is supplemental information that is coming from Israel about the Temple to back up the above message.
