THE WORKS OF THIS WORLD ARE EVIL

John 7:6-7 – Then Jesus said unto them (His hald-brothers), My time is not yet come: but your time (of carnal life) is alway ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof (this world) are evil.
Jesus was referring to the corrupt systems of this world that are dominated by man – sinners. This worldly system hates God, Christ, His Word and those who follow Him – true Christians. However, this lost world loves its own (sinners) and they seem to prosper even though they all are heading toward self-destruction as a result of wars and conquests through selfish lusts.
James 4:1-4 – From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
The world fails to recognize the end results of such selfish lusts.
1 John 2:15-17 – Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
The entire world operates in defiance of God’s Word and Will and will be judged for it. This world and its corrupt systems and institutions are referred to as Babylon in the Book of Revelation. Mankind continues to walk is the world’s ways unless they repent and turn to God through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:2 – wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
God’s judgment is coming upon this world and it’s Babylonian systems as declared by God’s Holy Angels.
Revelation 14:6-8 – And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
The demise of this world’s godless systems and institutions is significant that it is again repeated in Revelation as a warning to take notice. This fall of Babylon appears to have duel meaning; for the world’s institutions and for the Great Whore, the false Church of Rome that has perverted the gospel message that Jesus Christ is the only mediator and intercessor between man and God the Father. (Note: Jesus command to call no man “father” as practiced by the Roman Church – Matthew 23:9).
Revelation 18:1-3 – And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Most preachers of end-time events say that Babylon is representative of Rome as seat of the Roman Catholic Church. Rome is only a small part of the beast system. The references to Babylon in Revelation are not about the ancient city of Babylon, but is referring to the “system” of man’s institutions, the “beast system” that originated in and from ancient Babylon under King Nebuchadnezzar. This is first revealed in the Book of Daniel Chapter Two after the king had a troubling dream that he wanted interpreted, which only Daniel could do.
Daniel 2:36-45 – This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. 39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone (Rock refers to Jesus Christ) was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
Consider that this image had a head of gold, which means that this is the head of the entire corrupt system if the beast, (the brains and origin of the system). It includes governments; the financial industry (banks); business and manufacturing; marketing (sales); military; and even churches (Rome being the seat of the great whore). Thus Babylon represents every institution of man down through history since that image was revealed. Notice that Jesus, the Rock, strikes the feet of the image that destroys the entire system because the feet and legs are tied directly to the head of gold. This is also prophesied by the prophet Isaiah.
Isaiah 13:6-13 – Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: and they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
Notice that some of the things said to take place have not happened yet, because it is for the last days, when Jesus returns to set up His kingdom and rules and reigns forever. Until then we still have to endure the wickedness and evil works of this world with man’s corrupt institutions that stem from the system of ancient Babylon.
Note that even much of the Roman Catholic Church has its religious dogmas from ancient Babylon. The worship of mother and child that Rome honors actually began after Nimrod, (of the Tower of Babel fame), died and his wife afterward conceived and gave birth to a male child claiming that he was Nimrod reincarnated. Thus began the worship of mother and child.
