ANOTHER LEGALIZED SIN
(GOD’S VIEW OF HOMOSEXUALITY)
In June, 2013, the godless courts in America overturned the “Defense of Marriage Act” and sanctioned same sex marriage. Thus they legalized sodomy, lesbianism and homosexuality contrary to God’s supreme law for mankind.
Leviticus 18:22-23 – You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.
Romans 1:26-28, & 32 – For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; … who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
The Supreme Court and various other state and federal courts have defied God’s purpose and intention for mankind when He made them male and female. Two males or two females joining themselves together in a sex act cannot procreate.
Genesis 1:27-28 – So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue It”;
God identifies homosexual behavior as abominable wickedness – SIN! His sovereign word is very specific in this regard. Laws are established to regulate human behavior but man’s laws are steadily mandating sinful behavior rather than righteous and proper behavior.
1 Timothy 1:8-10 – But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,
Psalm 119:126 – It is time for You to act, O Lord, For they have regarded Your law as void.
Isaiah 5:20 – Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light,
and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Here are God’s views concerning this particular sinful behavior:
Genesis 13:13 – But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord. (Note that homosexuality is has often been referred to as “sodomy” so called from the sinful behavior of Sodom.)
Leviticus 20:13, 15-16 – If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.
1 Corinthians 6:9 – Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
Jude 7-8 – as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.
Such immoral behavior angers God to the point that his wrath was assigned to those who persisted in such sinful acts of defilement.
Genesis 19 records God’s wrath poured out on the two homosexual cities to their total destruction. The entire cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were wiped out due to this specific sin. (This makes me wonder about San Francisco and Key West which are well known for such behavior.) The evil wickedness of homosexuality invites the wrath of God.
Genesis 19:4-7, 24-25 – Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.” So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly!
…..Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.
2 Peter 2:6 – and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;
God’s wrath can come in the form of natural disasters striking a nation that sanctions gross sin and violation of God’s commands. It may be very likely that the extreme weather and economic woes being experienced by America today are evidence of God’s anger toward the sins of this immoral nation. Will our nation, its courts and legislators admit to their sins and repent and change direction? Not likely as revealed in scripture:
Revelation 9:21 – And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
Revelation 16:9-11 – And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory. Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.
Why will they not repent? This answer is also in scripture:

Having knowledge or awareness that such behavior is immoral they still indulge because of their selfish lust. They prefer their sinful unrighteous behavior over what is right and moral. They refuse to change or even acknowledge their sins. They have gone so far as to have their actions justified and legalized by the godless courts.
Isaiah 10:1 – “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, Who write grievousness
Which they have prescribed (made law).
As God’s wrath is poured out on the land (the nation) that is filled with such sin, they will refuse to recognize or even acknowledge that all these weather anomalies and disasters are God’s wrath on their behavior.
Leviticus 18:24-25 – Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants.
Let the righteous be righteous still and stand up for godly morals and values in the face of the immoral laws of our godless courts and legislature. Pray for eyes to be opened up of those who have some sense of conviction so they can repent and change. Deliverance from such immoral behavior is available to those who want to be set free of this damning sin.
As applies to all sinners, hate the sin but love and pray for those who engage in sin so they can be set free. It is important to understand that homosexuality is a demonic oppression in which an evil spirit controls that sort of behavior in a person. A spirit of sodomy or homosexuality is simply looking to fulfill its own desires but needs a human body in which to achieve it. That evil spirit can be cast out of a person, but that person needs to recognize the behavior as wrong and should desire to be set free. True Christians can use the power and authority of the name of Jesus Christ to set those captives free; but they will want to be free in order to be set free.
Matthew 10:7-8 – (Jesus gave authority to His disciples and sent them out saying,) And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Luke 10:19 – Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Jesus gave this same power to all true believers who accepted Him as savior and Lord.
Mark 16:15-17 – And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; ….
Casting out demons is referred to as “deliverance” from demonic oppression; it was also called a miracle in Jesus day because it was a supernatural experience. Pray that those under such oppression that causes homosexual behavior and will sense that it is improper and that they desire to be free; then help them get free through the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the power of His name and His shed blood.
John 8:31 – Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
