DEALING WITH LEFTIST PROGRESSIVES

Those who are leftist/progressives have set themselves as enemies of those who follow truth and righteousness according to the Word of God. They are actually opposing God, which is a serious problem for them. They aggressively protest and demonstrate in vile and violent ways causing turmoil and destruction. They take offense at Christian values and work against efforts of the church. As a result, many Christians, and those on the right, tend to consider them as enemies because they are literally pawns of Satan. Thus we tend to fight against them resisting their wicked and evil efforts which is just. Taking a stand for righteousness is proper; but how are we supposed to act, or react, toward them?
Jesus answers this question:
Matthew 5:44 – But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Luke 6:35 – But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
The main reason why these leftist/progressives live in opposition to Christian and Biblical values is because they are ignorant of them and have no experience with the truth of God and His Word. They are considered to be enemies of God just like the sinners that Christians used to be before coming to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Philippians 3:18-19 – (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Romans 5:10 – For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Thus it is our responsibility to reveal the truth to them. We do this by informing them of the Word of God; by praying and interceding for them to repent and turn to God; and by showing them God’s love through Jesus Christ.
By providing these truths to them, some may accept the truth and turn and repent, delivering them out of darkness. There is no guarantee that they will change, nevertheless it is incumbent upon us to be witnesses of Christ to them. There will be those who still refuse to acknowledge the truth and reject what we offer them; thus they will continue in walking in the lies of Satan unto their own damnation.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 – …and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
When confronting these leftist/progressive children of the devil, do not take offense of them, but instead consider their terrible position and belief system that they are walking in evil darkness. We are to minister to them with the love that God has for all mankind; just as stated by Jesus in the verses listed near the beginning of this article.
If you have no opportunity to witness to them, or have no contact with any of them, then the least we can do is pray for them in intercessory prayer that the light of the Glory of God through Jesus Christ can reach through to them. They need your help to get out of the muck and mire that they walk in, and that they need to be redeemed so they can join us to be with our Lord Jesus Christ! God loves them just as He loved you before you became a believer. This is why Jesus said in Luke 6:35, for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. The Lord wants us to show those sinners His Love, giving them the opportunity to become His children also.
