APOSTASY: TURNING AWAY FROM GOD

The apostle Paul said that before the return of Christ that there would be a significant falling away from the Christian faith.
1 Thessalonians 3:3-4 – for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
This falling or turning away from God, and the truth of His Word, has already occurred in Europe, and it is now evident that it is currently happening in America. History records very similar events happened to ancient Israel.
Judges 2:11-14 – And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim: and they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the Lord to anger. And they forsook the Lord, and served Baal and Ashtaroth. And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
Fifty years ago I taught on God’s corrective judgment on Israel due to their turning away from worshipping God in favor of pagan idols. God’s final stage of chastisement was when the Israel lost their right to govern themselves: because their government, including the priesthood, became corrupt and did evil before God. This was when the nation’s enemies conquored and ruled over them until they could no longer endure such oppression and they repented and called upon God to deliver them. What is interesting to note is that the enemies that conquered Israel also worshipped the same pagan god’s that Israel did. Those pagan god’s were known as Baal, Ashtaroth and Molech.
America is walking in the same path that ancient Israel did for which they experienced God’s corrective chastisement (punishment). It is important to note that the pagan gods that subverted Israel were those that promoted child sacrifice, Baal and Molech; which is our modern abortion. Then there was the vile worship of Ashtaroth which involved transvestism, transgenderism, and what we call today the LGBTP+ movement of homosexuals and all manner of sexual perversion. Add to this the acceptance of Satanism, occult practices and witchcraft that has been increasing in our society.
America has left God for Baal, Molech and Ashtaroth without even realizing it. If we fail to repent and return to God through Jesus Christ, America will be turned over to its enemies; and the process is currently underway. America is now under the increasing influence of our spiritual enemy, the false gods of Baal, Molech and Ashtaroth: Abortion (child sacrifice) and the LGBTP+ movement.
What does God’s Word have to say about such behavior? The apostle Paul addresses those who ignore our Heavenly Father, and instead, pursue and worship the carnal things of this world: idolatry, and specifically homosexuality and sexual perversion, and all manner of unrighteous behavior in following after these ancient false gods..
Romans 1:22-32 – Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Since America, as a nation, was dedicated to God in the late 1700’s by our newly formed government of Christian leaders, God has blessed this nation abundantly. However, since America’s victory in WWII our nation’s prosperity has led our population into selfish indulgence and the pursuit of carnal corruption that has turned the majority away from God. Thus America is already under the influence of the evil and corrupting enemy spirits; and the next level that America will experience is physical conquest if we fail to repent. This means that our physical enemies will come to rule over us as a hostile government - just as happened to ancient Israel. This even means conquest, not just by infiltration but possible defeat in warfare.
In case you haven’t noticed, our current administration, (Biden) has been allowing the infiltration of America’s enemies, mostly military age men, coming in through our unsecured borders, who have taken up strategic locations throughout our nation, all of which appears to be a staging for conflict. And all of this is being supplied and supported by our tax dollars which should be going to our own homeless and veterans. Scripture records the events of ancient Israel for us to see as a warning.

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Already it appears that the enemy has taken over our government as its dictates are against the Word and Will of God; but it will only get worse if we fail to ask God to forgive us and turn this nation around. Our moral decline is not only in our government, but in our entertainment, our major corporations, our media and especially in our educational system. In particular in institutions of higher learning like Harvard, Yale and Princeton, etc. which were originally founded by Godly ministers as seminaries to train Christian ministers. But look at them now as they have become antichrist in their teachings promoting godless liberalism! This is an example of infiltration of the enemy; it begins as spiritual at first, then becomes infiltrated and deteriorates until it manifests godlessness.
The kingdoms of this world are in absolute opposition to the Kingdom of God which we must pursue.
1 John 2:15-16 – Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Not only has our “Christian” nation become apostate, but so has much of the church. Churches have developed the same problem that ancient Israel experienced: the failure of the priesthood to maintain an awareness of God’s love, provision and protection coupled with a devoted worship and appreciation of Him. This has allowed doctrines of men and demons to take root in so many churches that worship has become vain.
How do we overcome our worldly and moral decline and return to God in true repentance? If we do not humble ourselves before God and seek Him willingly, we will be driven to our knees in desperation by the oppression imposed on us by those of our enemies who will rule over us.
Seek God for Him to bring forth His servants, with His divine power, as did happen to ancient Israel when they cried out to God, to turn this nation back to God in true humility and repentance. We need GODLY leadership, not only in our churches, but in our government also. We will need many such of God’s servants to accomplish this task, so that we will acknowledge our sin, ask forgiveness, and walk in the light of His Word and in the knowledge of Christ, so we can be the light and divine life that He called us to be. Failure to do so I dare not speak of.
Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things (that you need) shall be added unto you.
