MANY REFUSE TO REPENT

            There are many wicked and godless people who oppose Christ, Christians, and who do not accept the Bible as true authority.  They persecute people who believe the Bible, those who are followers of Christ, and they also oppose most of what is moral and righteous.  They promote immorality and sin because they are actually the children of the devil.  We can identify a lot of them in America as the godless left, liberals/progressives, socialists and communists – be they Democrat or Republican, (however the majority of them appear to be Democrats). 

              They refuse to hear truth or accept facts that refute their selfish and immoral ideas, policies and behavior that they want to impose as laws on Americans.  Still others follow false religions and false gods that they have fashioned by their own human imaginations.  The Bible tells us that they will resist God, Christ, and the Bible right up unto the end; that is when the one that they are really resisting, Jesus Christ, will deal with them; and yet they acknowledge that it is the Lord Jesus Christ that they resist.

Revelation 6:15-17 – And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;  and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb (Christ):  for the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? 

          Consider the kinds of people that are mentioned in the above verse: first listed are kings which refer to governmental leaders such as presidents, congressmen and judges, those that impose laws, this also includes bureaucrats.
Isaiah 10:1 – Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees (laws), and that write grievousness (deplorable, atrocious, abominable laws and policies) which they have prescribed (legislated or made law).

Psalm 94:20 – Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief (harm or damage) by a law?

Isaiah 5:20 – Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Proverbs 29:2 – When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice:
but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

          Next on the list are called “great men” or those that are famous and looked up to like movie stars, sports stars and entertainers.  Next on the list are the wealthy, those who control large corporations and financial institutions.  They put their trust in their riches, thinking that will save them.

James 5:1-3 – Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.  Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth- eaten.  Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

          Then the list includes decorated military officers of high rank that command forces, and also many of those who are commanded by such military leaders.  The term “captains” can refer to employers, the “captains of industry”.  Finally we see listed what can apply to servants or employees along with just about everyone else who are not followers of Christ but resist Him and instead pursue the sinful works of the flesh.

Galatians 5:19-21 – Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such the like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

          All these God haters recognize that it is the wrath of Christ and God the Father that they fear, even though they refuse to accept His offer to forgive them should they repent. They are suborn and stiff necked and align themselves with the evil works of Satan for which they will suffer.  They know it is Christ they are rejecting and offending.  So they think they can escape the “wrath of the Lamb” by hiding in caves, tunnels or underground bunkers when He brings His promised judgment on these sinners.

Psalms 9:16 – The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Psalms 145:20 – The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

          This writer has written in the past an article about “What Will It Take To Get Sinners to Repent”; and though I have written from scripture what is required, it is clear from the above scripture that at the end of the age there are many that remain unwilling to repent; even though they recognize who it is that is metering out His wrath.  Even so, this is not their final reward which will be spending all of eternity with the one whom they prefer to honor with their lives.  They will be joining Satan in the Lake of Fire.

Revelation 20:15 –  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

          They certainly will not be able to enjoy the future in the presence of Christ and our Heavenly Father.  Such blessings of eternity with Jesus is only for those who have accepted His atoning work on the cross for their sins and who have repented and turned from selfish, godless and sinful living.  It is such a shame for those sinners to be so defiant and obstinate to the love that God has offered all people to be forgiven and be part of His family as His children.  It is so sad that they prefer to live, and die, as children of the devil.

John 3:16-18  – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

          Please share this with those who you care about who follow after the sinful ways of the world and walk in the darkness of unbelief in what God has provided so that they can ne redeemed from their path of ruin and eternal suffering and darkness.

Proverbs 28:13 – He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and foresaketh them shall have mercy.

          At the end of this age there are rewards for God’s children and punishments for the wicked children who followed the ways of the devil.

Revelation 22:12-15 –  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
