IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
THE WICKED AND SINNERS
by W. G. Guy
Often we fail to realize that there is a difference between those designated as “wicked”, and those referred to as “sinners”. The wicked compose specific categories of people; there are those who do wickedly, relishing in their sins and evil doings; but such can turn and repent if properly warned; they are also referred to as sinners.
Ezekiel 33:8-9 – When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Then there are those who are THE WICKED: those who are dedicated to Satan as his servants who refuse to acknowledge God, will not repent, and who despise the truth that they might be saved. These may be some of the type of people who are identified in the events of the Sixth Seal of Revelation.
Revelation 6:15-16 – And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Note that those mentioned that hid from God, and the wrath of the Lamb, knew who they were deliberately hiding from and why, as they wanted nothing to do with Him.
Is it possible that these persons have Nephilim DNA in them remaining from those of the ancient past who were the descendants of the giants from the time of Noah, and even remained after that time, like Goliath and Anak. These were the offspring of the fallen angels and the human daughters of men that had satanic DNA in them.
Genesis 6:1-2 & 4 – And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. …… There were giants (Nephilim) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Number 13:33 – And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Those who have any residue of Nephilim DNA in them cannot be saved as they are not totally human and never had the image and likeness of God formed in them that would allow them to respond to the gospel message. Instead they have the image and likeness of Satan and the evil fallen angels in them. This helps to explain a lot of the wickedness that we see in the world. The truth of the gospel is not accepted by these wicked persons as they persist in doing and promoting evil as followers and servants of Satan, or the spirit of antichrist.
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Romans 6:16 – Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Scripture has much to say about the wicked and what their end shall be. Note that not all of those who do wickedly are of THE WICKED. (Below are just a few passages of the 453 Bible verses about what God says about the wicked.)
Psalm 10:2-4 – The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor; let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhoreth. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not see after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
Psalm 12:8 – The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
(Sounds like much of our current federal government!)
Psalm 91:7-8 – A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
(Could this be that what we see happen to the wicked during the Tribulation when they experience the wrath of God, because God’s wrath is not for the just.)
Psalm 109:6 – Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.
Psalm 119:155 – Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.
Psalm 145:20 – The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
Daniel 12:10 – Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Matthew 13:38-39 – the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels
The unredeemed sinners, on the other hand, have need of hearing the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ with the opportunity to accept Him as Savior and Lord, and to receive a totally changed life from sin to righteousness.
2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
These sinners have not deliberately sold their soul to the devil, provoking and promoting Satan’s evil and wickedness as his servants. However, because they are sinners they are in desperate need of salvation by accepting Jesus Christ and repenting of their sins; otherwise they are lost.
Thus it is imperative that the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ continues to go out into all the world to provide salvation and redemption to those who can accept it. But be advised that there are those who cannot accept and will actually oppose the truth of the gospel. Because of this fact we need to be discerning and led by the Holy Spirit as to whom we minister the Word of God to.
Matthew 7:6 – Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
This may not be popular among some “evangelicals”, but greater results are achieved by those who ask the Lord to lead them to those who He knows are ready to receive the gospel message. This eliminates the need for the “cold canvassing” sales technique, or using the “Handling Objections and Overcoming Excuses” chapter of the Evangelism Explosion program.
(Note: the Evangelism Explosion program was copied by Pastor Dr. D. James Kennedy from the Master Salesman’s Plan when he was a sales associate with Arthur Murry Dance Studios. How do I know this? A woman in my prayer group back in the 1970’s was also a sales associate for Arthur Murry Dance Studios, and she was Kennedy’s dance partner for demonstrations. Praise God that Kennedy discovered a new life, and that he wanted others to experience also.)
So please understand that there are some that you may try to share the gospel with that cannot accept it, but they will turn on you. This is where you must use discernment and be led, and empowered, by the Holy Spirit in your ministry to others. The Holy Spirit can direct you to those in need and are ready to receive; so don’t waste time or effort where the Spirit of God has not prepared the ground to receive the precious seed. He knows where the futile ground is - ask Him!
Matthew 13:18-23 – Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
