THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY
By W. G. Guy
The activities of nefarious persons will come back upon them as they pursue their heinous objectives on others. At the present time we need to consider how that this applies to such corrupt people as those who are in anti-American organizations. This refers to those such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter, the liars of the leftist news media and liberal Democrats who are working to destroy our Constitutional Republic with its freedoms and liberties.
The corrupt action of these anti-American activists makes us constitutional and conservative Americans angry, and it prompts us to resist and counter their activities. However, while considering their criminal behavior, the Holy Spirit reminded me about the law of sowing and reaping as recorded in the Bible.
Galatians 6:7 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
In addition, the Lord reminded me that He has the ultimate authority to judge such sinful behavior.
Romans 12:19 – Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
However the rest of this passage is what we are instructed to follow, and that puts a heavy weight upon us because it goes contrary to what the carnal nature in us wants to do.
Romans 12:20-21 – Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
What this means is that we are to earnestly pray for the situations and conditions confronting us and our nation, and asking God to intervene in our national affairs. We are also to pray for those who despitefully use us and placing these things in His hands; this allows Him to do as He sees fit in their lives.
Matthew 5:44-45 – But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
The corrupt that refuse to repent will be dealt with according to God’s Word. Our responsibility is to follow Christ as He declared that we should be the light in this vile world. This means that we do not respond to their darkness, wickedness and vile activity with our own means, but to do as Jesus said:
Luke 6:31-38 – And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
To be able to do this requires that we actually possess the character and nature of Christ which is the Fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
We certainly cannot do this in the ability of our own human nature, so we need His divine strength. Those who engage in corrupt, sinful and criminal behavior will pay for their deeds if they fail to repent and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our job to properly represent the Lord Jesus Christ to those in darkness so that they can see the light and have a chance to turn from their wicked ways. We have a role to fulfill in order to prevent them, and other sinners, from receiving eternal judgment.
God’s children also have a price to pay; that price is to die to self, or the flesh, as stated in the gospel of Luke and the epistle of Galatians:
Luke 9:23 – And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Galatians 5:24 – And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
