HAS AMERICA BECOME WORSE THAN
SODOM AND GOMORRAH

The government of America has exceeded the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah that so offended our Holy God that He destroyed those corrupt cities and people. Here is what God had to say about those people:
Genesis 13:13 – But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.
What was it that so infuriated our Holy Father that He had to rain down fire on these evil people? It was that form of sin that was identified as being exceedingly obnoxious to God and is referred to as sodomy.
Jude 1:7 – Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
The apostle Paul addressed the very same sinful and abdominal issues as those that are immoral reject God and chose rather fleshly self-indulgence in homosexuality:
Romans 1:24-27 – Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever, Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use if the women, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
It was, and still is, the sin of sodomy, sexual perversion and homosexuality that caused God to destroy the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah. Now we can include to these the demonic perversities of the gross sins of same sex marriage and transgenderism. Why are these specific sins so offensive to God? They are Satan’s means of attacking God’s prize creation which is man made in His own image and likeness. In addition, Satan’s objective is to destroy what God provided and intended for mankind. People fail to realize that all this sex perversion, porn addiction, homosexuality and transgenderism is all inspired, controlled and driven by evil spirits (demons).
John 10:10– The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.
These horrible sins, as well as the modern additional ones, are currently made acceptable and legal in the fabric of our society. Now, even worse, our corrupt government and legal system has added child sacrifice, in the form of abortion, even after a live birth, which is not only accepted, and even promoted. God judged His people Israel severely for this gross sin by causing them to be conquered and taken captive by an enemy nation. They lost their nation and the ability to govern themselves since they would not govern themselves morally, properly and according to God’s Word.
There are parts of America where these abominable sins and ungodly behaviors are being carried out without opposition of churches. Some local churches are even accepting and endorsing such sins. At the same time, other churches do not take a stand to oppose such practices but remain silent so as to not draw attention to themselves.
2 Peter 2:1 – But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
God has had to deal with such corruption in His people in the ancient past.
Jeremiah 23:14 – I have also seen in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom and the inhabitants thereof Gomorrah.
Jesus spoke about such places, cities and people who rejected His call to repentance and returning to follow Him and to true worship of God, the Father.
Matthew 11:23-24 – And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
People fail to realize that such sinful practices will bring severe consequences if they do not turn away from such and repent. There are severe consequences not only during this life, but even more so at the time of their future eternal judgement.
Hebrews 9:27 – And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Jesus said it would be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah than for those who had access to God through Jesus Christ and His preaching the kingdom of God. This gospel, which is available everywhere in America, they reject and prefer to follow after Satan and his wickedness.
The apostle Peter said that these things about Sodom and Gomorrah are examples for us today:
2 Peter 2:6 – And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
Will God deal with America as He did with Sodom and Gomorrah? Will He also deal so with the lethargic and lukewarm church? Sadly, some of what is called church in America is clearly on the pathway to destruction, and only repentance and return to God through Jesus Christ can correct the horrible and obscene corruption in our nation!
1 Peter 4:17-18 – For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God (the church): and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
If God deals with certain churches for their wicked abuses, what then is the rest of the nation deserving of? Could America be attacked by our enemies; and could our people be taken captive until we truly repent, (as happened to God’s people Israel)? Is it possible that we lose the privilege of governing ourselves until we learn to govern our nation God’s way? Major repentance is needed along with overthrowing the horrible and sinful laws passed by our corrupt politicians and courts. It does appear that, at present, America’s sins are worse than those of Sodom and Gomorrah. This is because modern medial advancements and technology have made perverse actions possible that the ancient sodomites could only dream about. We don’t have much time left to change the course that we are on as a nation!
Consider that the following scripture was written to the church at Rome!
Romans 13:11-14 – And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
