WHY DO THE HEATHEN RAGE ?

Psalm 2:1 – Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The word heathen refers to the godless, those who do not believe or follow God and His Word. Even though the above text refers to those who opposed the godly king David of ancient Israel, it certainly can be fittingly applied to the godless liberals, leftists and globalists of today.
It is very apparent that these liberals and those who identify with the “left” are indeed godless, for they oppose almost everything that God has ordered, commanded and ordained; for example, marriage being between and man and a woman.
The word rage means to be tumultuous, noisy and riotous. It is also quite clear that these heathen unbelievers are in a RAGE as they foment vulgar, noisy and even violent protests against what is lawful, moral, right and proper; namely that which is proposed and advanced by conservatives and those on the right; those who tend to be Christian in their ideals.
The word vain means worthless, of no value, empty of any worth; also conceited. This sums up the efforts of liberal left in trying to impart their desires on our nation. Their morals, values and desires are worthless, empty and selfishly conceited.
Woe to these godless liberals because they fail to recognize that they are actually opposing God’s laws, God’s will, God’s way and those who God uses to establish morals and godly values.
Psalm 2:2-3 – The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
These two verses refer to those who have positions of authority to govern and make and enforce laws like kings, presidents, senators, representatives and judges, and that they do not want to uphold godly ideals and values.
Psalm 2:4 – He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
This verse reveals how God views their efforts and what He will ultimately do with them unless they repent
and completely change. He will “have them in derision”. Derision means to speak un-intellectually, stammering, scorned and confused. This is now being demonstrated by the behavior and protesting of those on the left, namely the Democrats and globalists.
Psalm 2:5 – Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Verse five indicates that God will deal with these in His anger and will “vex” them, which means to cause them severe anguish and fear at His displeasure with them.
Many Christians understand that President Trump was allowed to become president of this nation at this time as God’s choice, in part due to their volume of prayers for this nation. Since the liberals are raging against President Trump so vehemently, they are actually raging against God. Remember that the liberal Democrats even refused to have God mentioned in their party platform back in 2008 and since. No wonder they rage against what God is doing now through president Trump.
These raging liberals fail to recognize that they are resisting God, and as such will suffer the consequences. They also fail to recognize that they are simply pawns of Satan who is fighting fiercely to resist what God wants and is doing as a result of the prayers of the true Christians. The devil knows that Christ is coming soon to set up His kingdom and rule over the entire earth. Therefore Satan is putting up as much resistance as he can muster; and it will likely only get more intense as time goes on before the Lord’s return.
Therefore it is essential that Christians pray more intensely for our President and his leadership: for protection, for wisdom, for discernment, for God’s sovereign guidance and help; also to expose the lies, deception and massive corruption that is already entrenched in our government by previous leadership who have been busy doing their dirty and nefarious deeds. Pray that President Trump can completely “drain the swamp”; his intentions are good.
Actually this is a continuing effort in spiritual warfare and we must not only continue to fight but greatly increase our effort. We fight by praying and speaking the Word of God over our government, our nation, ourselves and all situations.
Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The power of intercessory prayer is not recognized or understood by many Christians, yet it is a powerful force that God responds to and which has great effect,
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 – For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;
2 Timothy 2:1-2 – I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Pray and use God’s Word to stop the raging lunatic liberal left from bringing ruin to our nation that President Trump is trying to restore. Our restoration is by the Word of God and prayer and asking God to forgive our sins and divinely guide our president in his efforts…. to make America moral and Christian again, which will be GREAT!
Now you know why the heathen rage!
