GOVERNMENT

Government is defined as: the exercise of authority, control or rule over a state, or organization; a system of ruling, political administration; those who direct the affairs of a state or entity.
The United States of America has a democratic republic form of government, which means the people elect representatives to positions of responsibility to govern. America is known as a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people”.
However, there is a major flaw in this form of government, or in any form of government that is controlled by people. That problem is the PEOPLE! What is the problem with people? SIN! People are all selfish and self-centered beings motivated by the big “I”; that is, until they have a change of life through Jesus Christ being their Lord and Savior.
1 John 2:15-17 – Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
This makes each person subject to lusts; and lusts result in sin, and sin results in death or destruction.
James 1:14-15 – but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Therefore any form of government that is controlled by people will self-destruct. As proof, every empire or government of man in the past has self-destructed. Those that still exist are in the process of self-destructing.
This explains the problem America, and any government, is facing today. Consider the pattern of laws that have been passed in the recent decades by our government of and for the people: they removed prayer and the Bible from our schools; removed Christian symbols and influence from public places; legalized abortions, homosexuality and same sex marriages; given more rights to criminals than to their victims; promoted humanism, atheism, socialism and communism; and now even Islam; making the preaching against sin a hate speech; and the list goes on and on. All such things lead to self-destruction!
This brings us to the question, what kind of government is the best kind? The answer is one that is not governed by sinful and immoral people! What government is like that? A THEOCRACY, as in the Kingdom of God that true Christians are spiritually born into through believing in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Scripture tells us that this is the government that is soon to be coming to this earth; the one that we have been praying for; the one that the Bible tells us is coming.
Matthew 6:10 – THY KINGDOM COME. THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. This is the government where Jesus Christ is the supreme ruler governing over all of us.
Isaiah 9:6-7 – For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end,….
True Christians, being born again believers in Jesus Christ, are to rule and reign with Him in His coming Kingdom; and spiritually we are already ruling with Him now in this world as His ambassadors and representatives being that spiritual light that He has called us to be. We are, and will be, part of His government for all eternity!
Revelation 5:10 – ……. and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
We are eagerly looking forward to this new and divine form of government in which will be true peace and prosperity for all that are in it, and over those who are governed by it on earth. Until then we are in conflict with human forms of government.
The biggest problem with governments are when mankind is ruling because man brings into government all of his carnal weaknesses, worldly lusts and corruption.
Psalm 118:8-9 – It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes, (rulers or governments).
The only hope for a proper form of government is when those who are in positions of power and authority submit themselves to God through a relationship with Jesus Christ. If those in power and authority are not submitted to God through Christ then they are unredeemed children of the devil, and it is then the will and way of Satan that governs through such people.
This explains the situation that America is in today, particularly with those that are identified as progressive liberals who hate God and despise true Christianity and its positive influence, along with Jews and Israel. Such people have rejected truth and thus have embraced the lies of Satan and are under the influence of the spirit of antichrist which is already in the world.
1 John 4:3 – and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 – even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Such godless leadership make laws and decisions contrary to what is moral, godly and righteous because they have been deceived by the lies of the enemy. They have been given over to strong delusion and believe they are really right, even in their error. They are thus under the influence of the spirit of antichrist, and allowing that evil spirit to guide them in making laws and governing our nation. This can be clearly seen today if you will only look with your eyes wide open!
America needs to repent and embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ and turn away from following after Satan and his evil ways that bring about abortions, homosexuality, same sex marriage and so many other immoral and godless practices.
Our condition today as a nation fulfills the prophetic words of the apostle Paul as he wrote to young Timothy, not only in our government, but also in much of what is called church, because most churches and denominations are under the governmental rule and authority of man, when in fact, Jesus is to be the head of the church; (but in too many cases he is not):
1 Timothy 4:1-2 – Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
2 Timothy 3:1-5 – This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Note: where do you see a form of godliness? … in so-called churches, not in the world. So our national problems can only be resolved with turning to God through Jesus Christ and repenting, asking for forgiveness for our gross sins and following after truth and righteousness that is in Christ and His Word, embracing the Kingdom of God; both in our national government as well as in our organized and man controlled churches.
Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
