THE CONFLICT OF THE AGES
BETWEEN GOD’S CHILDREN AND CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL

1 John 3:10 – In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
What identifies the children of God, and what identifies the children of Satan, the devil? The difference is righteousness, love, and the Spirit of the Lord in God’s children compared to the spirit of the devil, fleshly lusts and the world that are in Satan’s children.
1 John 2:15-16 – Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Since these two classifications of humanity are complete opposites, the result has been a great conflict that has been occurring since Cain slew Able, and right up unto today. This is warfare between light and darkness: light being righteousness and darkness being evil and wickedness. Those who are children of the devil are in darkness and motivated by spiritual wickedness and the rulers of darkness, which is the character and nature of Satan:
Ephesians 6:12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Those who are the children of God are motivated by the Spirit of Christ that is in them after they have accepted Jesus atoning work on the cross and abide in Him, and He in them.
John 15:4-5 – Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Consider how the conflict has grown through the ages up unto today where we plainly see the evidence and workings of the children of the devil. Most of the “isms” of today are the direct result of the devil’s attributes manifesting in those who don’t have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Thus we have Islam, the religion of the false prophet, Muhammad, and his false god, Allah. In Islam there is no love, no forgiveness, no mercy, no grace and no salvation; only punishment, lies (used to promote Islam), death, oppression and destruction; all are manifestations of the works of Satan, the devil, as Jesus described as follows:
John 10:10 – The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 8:44 – Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Islam has been an enemy and destroyer of, what they call the “people of the book”, referring to Christians and Jews, since its inception in the 6th century; and continues to do so today. Then there are others who are children of the devil who do the very same thing, these are the “isms” previously referred to: Communism, Socialism, Liberalism, Progressivism, even Catholicism, along with the false religions of the world. They lie, steal, kill and destroy what is not of their particular “ism”.
Why have these “ism’s” been allowed to continue and increase in strength? Because the children of God have not taken a stand against them using the spiritual weapons afforded to us by the Lord.
Ephesians 6:13-18 – Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
By not praying in intercessory prayer and not taking a stand to oppose and resist and pull down these enemy strongholds, the devil’s children have been strengthened to the point that they are oppressing the children of God and dominating mankind in the world today. They have taken over governments, education systems, entertainment, media and even many churches. Intercessory prayer is asking God to intervene in man’s affairs, while warfare prayers are speaking in the authority of Jesus’ name to bind and command the forces of darkness to be stopped and to pull down the enemy’s strongholds.
Matthew 18:18-19 – Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind (prohibit) on earth shall be bound (prohibited) in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose (permit or endorse) on earth shall be loosed (permitted and endorsed) in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 – For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Yes, God is ultimately in control, but people fail to realize that God placed dominion of the earth in man’s hands, and as God’s children we have a responsibility to act and perform as God’s children using the authority of Jesus’ name to fight against evil.
Genesis 1:26 – And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Psalm 115:16 – The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
Man then gave that dominion to Satan when he submitted to the devil’s trickery and deceit in the Garden. Since then the devil has had control over mankind and the kingdoms of this world.
Luke 4:5-6 – And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
(Note: the devil can give kingdom rule to whoever submits to him and that he can use for his nefarious purposes such as Muhammad, Hitler, Stalin, Liberals and abortion doctors, etc.)
The church has failed to rule and reign with Christ in the earth and failed to use the power and authority Jesus gave to us through the use and power of His name.
Matthew 28:18 – And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Then Jesus said, “go ye therefore”, instructing us to go into all the world with the gospel and the POWER and authority of His name to do the works He did as He said. Believing in Him and in the power of His name is what is required to do His works.
John 6:28-29 – Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Mark 16:15-18 – And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
If Jesus has all power in heaven and in earth, then the devil has none. All the devil can do then is lie and deceive making us think he is powerful. We are to bind him and his wickedness and his demonic forces by the power of Jesus using His name which is ALL POWER in heaven and in the earth.
John 14:12-14 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Christians fail to recognize that we are in a spiritual conflict! We have the ability to defeat the devil in this life by relying on what Jesus did and provided for us. But the devil has lied to Christians and blinded them to the truth of God’s Word and kingdom. Jesus is our victory over all the power and works of the enemy.
It is time for believers to start believing in all that Jesus said, did, and provided, and act on His behalf as the children of the Most High God. Even all of creation is groaning waiting for us to take on the mantle that Jesus provided and engage the enemy with the weapons that defeat Satan and the children of the devil.
Romans 8:19 - For the earnest expectation of the creature (creation) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
There is a well-known saying that goes something like – “evil succeeds when good (righteous) men do nothing”. This describes the state of the children of God today – they are not taking a stand against the wickedness of the children of the devil. Therefore their wickedness is growing, thus promoting Islam, Communism, Socialism, Liberalism, abortion, homosexuality, same sex marriage, transgenderism, drug and alcohol addition, pornography, adultery and infidelity, lies, thefts, death and destruction, and the list goes on and on.
Jesus gave us the authority in His name to act on His behalf as the children of God. It is time to wake up, stand up and to stand strong against the evil of this day or else the question that Jesus proposed will be answered when it comes to our prayers and faithfulness.
