EVERYTHING IS BEING SHAKEN
By W. G. Guy
I dislike greatly watching the news broadcasts because nearly all the information presented is depressing. However, I periodically peruse certain news sources so that I can be aware of what is allegedly going on; as is recommended by our Lord Jesus Christ, when He said, “Watch ye therefore….”; which means to be alert to your surroundings.
Luke 21:36 – Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Much discernment is needed when doing so because there is so much fake news and deliberate disinformation, (propaganda) being put forth.
When summing up all that is being reported by various sources it became obvious to me that the Word of God concerning the last days is now being fulfilled; everything that can be shaken is now being shaken. Consider what is being shaken: politics, science, medicine, education, sexual identity, finance, transportation, social interaction, supply chain, food production and supply, and much more. This not only involves every institution of man, (including churches), but also deals with the natural forces in the earth. According to Jesus this will even involve the powers in the heavens.
Luke 21:25-26 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
To quote an old popular song, “There’s A Whole Lot Of Shaking Going On”. However, this shaking is by the command of God and is directed toward mankind to turn us to Him and His Word. We are not to rely on man’s ability to save ourselves from the total collapse of human society that man has created, nor can we prevent what is coming upon the earth.
Hebrews 12:25-29 – See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire.
The only thing that cannot be shaken and brought down is the Kingdom of God; which includes the Word of God, and the life that God provides through His Son, Jesus Christ. When all the shaking is done, what will remain is the ROCK that God through Christ established for mankind to build upon.
Matthew 16:15-18 – He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (Peter’s statement) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
If you are not standing firm on this ROCK everything you trust in will collapse. Faith and trust in God’s revelation that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life is THE ROCK that cannot be moved; neither by man’s corrupt efforts; nor Satan’s demonic works, or any natural earthly forces.
Matthew 7:24-27 – Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Several years ago I wrote on the topic of Shaking as follows:
DON’T LET YOUR CONFIDENCE BE SHAKEN
Please don’t let it happen to you
In the past I have mentioned my appreciation for the faithful ministry of Pastor David Wilkerson as he has published what God has placed in his heart that is needed by believers everywhere. He has accurately conveyed prophetic warnings in the past that we are now seeing fulfilled. And, as has historically been the case, he has been criticized by others for truthfully declaring God’s words as revealed to him.
The following are excerpts from David Wilkerson’s publication, World Challenge Pulpit Series, dated May 12, 2008 to show that God had been faithful to warn his people of what is coming even though many don’t like it or refuse to accept it and take heed.
Ten years ago, I wrote a book entitled, America’s Last Call: On the Brink of a Financial Holocust, In that book, I warned of the following events:
What Pastor Wilkerson wrote years ago has been and is still being fulfilled, thus making him a true prophet, whose “Words from the Lord” can be trusted to be accurate. He further wrote in the May 12 edition of his Pulpit Series the following excerpt that tells us it is absolutely necessary to put your trust in God and His promises in order to endure the dire circumstances that we all face and that will only escalate on the whole earth.
Here is enduring faith: it is the committing of all things into God’s hands. Enduring faith says to the Lord, “I cast every event, every future success, into your care. And I hold you to your promise to commit all that you are – all your omniscience and omnipotent strength – to preserve me.”
Whenever we face afflictions and persecutions, Satan comes to us whispering fears and lies: “How are we going to make it through this crisis? What will you do now? If God is faithful, how could he allow this to happen to you? How could he put your loved ones at risk this way? What will become of you, your family, your job, your ministry?”
But enduring faith rises up and answers the enemy’s lies: “Devil, you’re asking the wrong questions. The question for me right now is not how I’m going to make it. It is not what shall become of me and mine. I have already placed everything - all afflictions, all trials, everything that concerns me – into my loving Father’s hands. I have trusted all future events to him. And he has proved himself faithful time after time. He is trustworthy with my future.”
With this established in our hearts, the question for us then becomes clear. The question for us is, “How can I love and serve my Lord better? How shall I serve others as myself?”
You see, enduring faith means casting ourselves wholly on the will of God as Jesus describes it in the Sermon of the Mount. In short: we are to seek God and his concerns first, and the desires of our heart will then be given to us (Matthew 6:33).
Enduring faith declares, “I have no will of my own. Rather, his will be done. No more personal agenda for me. No more playing God by trying to solve my own problems or those of others. Holy Spirit, keep my mind stayed on my Lord and his promises.”
With such faith, we’ll be ready for whatever the present hour brings. Amen! ( End David Wilkerson's excerpts)
God’s plan is for us to trust in Him and endure to the end, being the light of the world. It is significant to note that a light shines the brightest when conditions are the darkest.
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Isaiah 26: 3 – Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Jesus told us what to look for and how to prepare:
Luke 21:31-35 – So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Are you on the Rock that cannot be shaken or moved?
Luke 21:28 – And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

- There would be a meltdown of the bond market.
- God’s judgment would strike suddenly on the U.S. economy.
- A brief, false sense of prosperity would precede the coming economic collapse. (This short flicker of prosperity would be God’s final mercy call before the chastening to come.)
- There would be a real estate meltdown, with a market made up of mostly sellers and very few buyers. Multitudes would lose their home to repossession.
- There would be an ominous rise of homosexual power.
- A sudden storm of confusion would take place on Wall Street.
- God’s watchmen and prophets would be silenced. (or not heard)
- The U.S. dollar would collapse.
- America would lose control of its economy. To date, China has loaned America hundreds of billions of dollars. We have become the world’s number one debtor nation, no longer in control of our finances.
