WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR AMERICA IN 2024
By W. G. Guy
Based on what I have seen during the past couple of years in the performance of our government in America I am very concerned for this nation’s future. Clearly our political environment is very corrupt which anyone can see if they will take their political blinders off of their eyes.
Then consider the moral degradation and the grossly sinful stance that our nation is embracing. The apostle Paul, writing to the Romans, perfectly addressed the current leadership of America as it portrays the godless apostasy of those in Washington, D.C. (the District of Corruption).
Romans 3:10-18 – as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: their feet are swift to shed blood: destruction and misery are in their ways: and the way of peace have they not known: there is no fear of God before their eyes.
On top of our national moral pollution we have hostilities among numerous nations with wars and threats of even nuclear war coming that will affect the entire world. Then America has been heavily infiltrated by millions of illegals from many foreign nations that hate America; many that even scream, “Death to America”. This alone poses a great threat to our nation; and our government refuses to acknowledge this paramount danger. Then they use our hard earned tax money to support and encourage such lawless infiltration.
Many of these illegals, come from our enemy nations, and could possibly be the foot soldiers of the current leftist leadership to foster a civil war against our citizens in America. Democrat Senator Dick Durbin has proposed a bill to enroll these illegals into our military for which they will be granted citizenship. This is a horrible idea since most of them are from enemy nations and have no loyalty to America.
America was once known as a God fearing Christian nation that exported the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. Now America is exporting pornography, pedophilia, homosexuality, lesbianism, Satanism, anti-God religions and atheism along with the lustful self-indulgence of materialism that seeks wealth rather than the Holy God of righteousness.
I feel that our Heavenly Father can no longer tolerate the evil that has manifested itself in this nation and will have to administer corrective chastisement (punishment) to turn us around; to repent and seek Him. I have long felt that this nation will not repent and return to God until it is brought down to its knees. Has this process already begun?
Hebrews 12:25-29 – See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire.
Jesus gave us a warning about events that are to occur in these last days before His return.
Luke 21:34-36 – And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
This means that I see a turbulent year ahead, and it may only be the beginning if this nation fails to repent and return to God through Jesus Christ. Those of us who are in Christ through faith are to stand firm in the Word and faith to be the light in this vast darkness of evil in these last days. Thus we will likely fulfill that which Paul wrote in Romans 8 as we believers stand out in this world as God’s children.
Romans 8:18-19 – For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
We who hold fast to the Word of God, and trust in Him, know that He is our shield, protection and provider, and will carry us through as we humble ourselves before Him and continually seek His face.
Romans 8:31-39 – What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Therefore we need to be ready to stand strong in the Lord in the evil day, because we are all engaged in spiritual warfare, though most Christians do not recognize it.
Ephesians 6:10-18 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Thus we believers have the call to prayer and intercession for one another to endure and overcome, while being the light that Jesus called us to be. Who else is going to reveal Christ to this vile and corrupt society that is cloaked in darkness?
Matthew 5:13-15 – Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
In these days of darkness, evil and corruption the light of God needs to shine; and it is God’s children that are to bring forth His light.
Philippians 2:13-15 – For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
So how do we prepare for what may lie ahead? The most important thing is to draw close to Him who loves and cares for you. We need to be in fellowship with Him, in His Word, in prayer, and in praise of His loving care.
Matthew 6:31-33 – Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
1 Peter 5:6-8 – Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Philippians 4:6-7 – Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
May Jesus, by His Word and the Holy Spirit, be with you and guide you through this coming year, to sustain you and enable you to be a witness for Him against the darkness of sin in this world.
