YOU WILL FACE THE JUDGE!

Most people fail to realize that every person that ever lived will stand before the true and righteous judge of all the earth – this means you too!
Hebrews 9:27 – And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Why will we all face judgment? To determine our eternal destiny of reward for obedience, or punishment for disobedience! What will be judged? Our right way of living for those in Christ; or for the sins of those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as the sin atonement; this is all written in the Holy Bible as will be shown in the following.
Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice for our sins on the cross, they will be judged by Him, the just and righteous judge. This judgment is for how they lived in obedience to Him, allowing Him to be seen in them.
Romans 14:10-12 – But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
2 Corinthians 5:10 – For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
For those who have rejected Jesus’ work on the cross, or have never accepted Him as Lord and Savior, they are referred to as the “dead” because they do not have the life of Christ in them. They will face the Judgment of Almighty God the Father at The Great White Throne Judgment.
Revelation 20:11-15 – And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Most people fail to realize what it is that causes people to not receive and enjoy the eternal life and reward that God offers them through belief in Jesus Christ. It is known as the consequences of sin.
Isaiah 59:1-4 – Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear: but your iniquities (sins) have separated between you and your God; and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood (abortions), and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
God sent Jesus into this world to restore sinful man back to a family type relationship with Him as His children. This relationship is only obtained by accepting and believing in Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross.
John 3:16-18 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Hebrews 9:28 – so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
This relationship is referred to as the salvation experience; being saved from the consequences of sin. The salvation experience comes by accepting by faith in what Jesus did on the cross, dying for our sins.
Romans 10:9-10 – that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Acts 3:19 – Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Acts 26:18 – to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Ephesians 1:7 – (Of Jesus Christ) in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
1 John 1:8-10 – If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
As mentioned in Isaiah 59 above, sin is the reason God sent Jesus into this world to redeem mankind from his fallen sinful state. We need to consider what is sin that we all have committed, and which too many continue in as a lifestyle. There are eternal consequences for sin that have not been repented of and forgiven in Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 6:9-12 – Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified (saved), but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Romans 1:18 – For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
The Bible specifically identifies certain gross sins of mankind that deal with sexual immorality and homosexuality:
Romans 1:26-27 – For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Then additional sinful behavior is listed which is commonplace among mankind:
Romans 1:28-31 – And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
The warnings of sin are so strong that they are repeated multiple times in the Bible:
Galatians 5:19-21 – Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Did you notice the last line of the above verse that those who do such things are not fit for heaven and being part of Gods Kingdom. Every person is a sinner and will be judged unless they accept Jesus Christ as the atonement and forgiveness for all their sins.
Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
People fail to realize just how sinful we all are without Jesus who changes our lives by His spirit dwelling in us. Even the secret sins that people try to keep hidden will be revealed. In addition, every idle or profane word we speak will be judged.
Romans 2:16 – in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Matthew 12:36 – But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
As mentioned previously, there are two different judgments, one; the first one is for the believers in Christ, called the Judgment Seat of Christ. This is when Jesus reviews the lives of His followers and rewards them.
Matthew 16:27 – For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
1 Corinthians 3:13-15 – (At the judgment Seat of Christ) every man’s (believers) work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
This Judgment Seat of Christ is at an appointed time in the near future and is only for those who are true obedient followers of Christ:
Colossians 1:13-14 – (Because of forgiveness and redemption through Christ) who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Acts 17:31 – because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man (Jesus) whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
God gave Jesus the right to judge man because he lived as a man here on earth and know what it is like having faced trials, temptations and opposition.
John 5:22, 26-29 –For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: …… For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; and hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. .
The second form of judgment is performed by God the Father where He judges those who have rejected Jesus and have not accepted His precious gift for the forgiveness of sins. Thus there is an eternal and horrible penalty for such persons.
John 12:48 – He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Romans 2:2-3, 5-6 – But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? …….but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; who will render to every man according to his deeds:
2 Peter 3:7 – but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Jude 1:14-15 – Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
God will judge the ungodly wicked because He cannot permit them to live in His presence after He establishes His dominion, which will be His domain, on this earth. This is quite a contrast to those who repent and believe on Jesus and walk in obedience to Him.
Revelations 11:18 – (Concerning the wicked unrepentant sinners who appear at the Great White Throne Judgment); And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
All people need to recognize that God’s love made provision for every person to be one of God’s own children through the blood of Jesus Christ. Please understand this; Jesus is the only way, there no other.
John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Those who accept Jesus as Savior and Lord have a divine helper in this life to protect and guide in the proper way of living.
John 14:15-17 – If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
2 Peter 2:9 – the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
The true gospel message has just been presented to you; the choice is yours as to which judge you will face. The day of judgment is on its way!
The following is a thorough illustration that Jesus gave showing that rewards are for obedience, and that there are consequences for disobedience.
Matthew 25:14-46 – For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Just going to church does not grant you the privilege of appearing before the Judgment Seat of Christ to receive His rewards. You must be born again by the Spirit of God, Christ in you, and be the light of the world that Jesus said you should be as His light shines in and through you. However, there are those who claim to be His followers but really are not. This even includes preachers!
Matthew 7:21 – Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity, (continue to practice sin).
Make sure you are a true child of God through Jesus Christ and walk in fellowship with him! Because you will face the judge – which one you face is up to you!

And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? …….but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; who will render to every man according to his deeds:
2 Peter 3:7 – but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Jude 1:14-15 – Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
God will judge the ungodly wicked because He cannot permit them to live in His presence after He establishes His dominion, which will be His domain, on this earth. This is quite a contrast to those who repent and believe on Jesus and walk in obedience to Him.
Revelations 11:18 – (Concerning the wicked unrepentant sinners who appear at the Great White Throne Judgment); And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
All people need to recognize that God’s love made provision for every person to be one of God’s own children through the blood of Jesus Christ. Please understand this; Jesus is the only way, there no other.
John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Those who accept Jesus as Savior and Lord have a divine helper in this life to protect and guide in the proper way of living.
John 14:15-17 – If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
2 Peter 2:9 – the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
The true gospel message has just been presented to you; the choice is yours as to which judge you will face. The day of judgment is on its way!
The following is a thorough illustration that Jesus gave showing that rewards are for obedience, and that there are consequences for disobedience.
Matthew 25:14-46 – For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Just going to church does not grant you the privilege of appearing before the Judgment Seat of Christ to receive His rewards. You must be born again by the Spirit of God, Christ in you, and be the light of the world that Jesus said you should be as His light shines in and through you. However, there are those who claim to be His followers but really are not. This even includes preachers!
Matthew 7:21 – Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity, (continue to practice sin).
Make sure you are a true child of God through Jesus Christ and walk in fellowship with him! Because you will face the judge – which one you face is up to you!
