STRONG DELUSION
(The spiritual significance of the liberal agenda)

This message is brought forth as an alert for America as we approach the celebration of the Fourth of July and our nation’s Declaration of Independence, also honoring our Constitution and its accompanying Bill of Rights, of which all liberties as guaranteed by these documents appear to be in increasing jeopardy in this year of 2009.
2 Thessalonians 2:11 – And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
First let’s look at the definition of “strong delusion” from Webster’s Dictionary: strong – powerful as applied to physically, morally, intellectually or willfully as to having an effect; delusion - being deceived or mislead into a false belief that persists psychotically. To summarize, a strong delusion means to be deceived into believing a lie that produces a strong psychosis of ideas, desires or agendas that are held to as ideal and are compelled to promote and even to impose on others. Who does the “strong delusion” apply to?
2 Thessalonians 2:10 – And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
It applies to those who embrace ”unrighteousness” and are thereby deceived in accepting, following and promoting immoral and ungodly ways in their lifestyle and their work. Why? What is the cause of such a belief and lifestyle?
2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 – And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
They reject, despise and hate the “truth”. They prefer their own ideas, lusts, and agendas; they believe and prefer a lie (untruth). It is important to recognize the source of lies and deception. The Bible clearly tells us that Satan is the master deceiver, he is the liar and the father (progenitor) of liars.
John 8:44 – Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and
the father of it.
Truth, however, comes from God, in the form of His son Jesus, and as recorded in His Word, the Bible.
John 14:6 – Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 17:17 – Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Truth is defined as an established fact and conformity therewith; correctness and accuracy. Truth is therefore a fact. The importance of “truth” is addressed in the Bible.
John 8:32 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Having the facts and knowing the truth equips one to make wise and sound decisions and choices. Acting on truth brings freedom; freedom from the bondage caused by lies and deception; all of which originates with the enemy – Satan. Therefore if the truth can make you free, then lies and deception bring you into bondage and servitude.
Political, academic and media liberals are deceived because they love not the truth as its origin, which is God. As a result they accept and promote unrighteousness and ungodly agendas such as abortion and other issues that are contrary to God’s will as set forth in scripture. They care not for any and all facts that are presented them that refute their false beliefs. They prefer to pursue, what they think is, their own self-centered ideals, ideology and agendas; however, since they are deceived by the devil, they are actually promoting Satan’s ideology and agenda.
These liberals are pawns in Satan’s hand, being used by him to establish his works on the earth and, particularly, in this nation at this time. Remember, Satan is the father of liars, of those who reject truth. They become his servants and ministers of his will to bring people into bondage, the bondage of personal sin and destruction.
This is the very reason God sent His Son Jesus to die for our sinfulness and godlessness; so that we can receive the truth and be made free of sin’s destructiveness by accepting what He provided – being made FREE, liberated from captivity.
Bondage opposes and denies liberty as guaranteed by our nation’s founding documents. These liberals, also calling themselves “progressives”, are anti-Constitutional, and anti-Declaration of Independence. These documents are the law of the land that assures American liberties as established by our founding fathers as they sought almighty God in prayer for His direction in writing our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. (Research American history to see this since it is not taught in our public schools anymore due to our current liberal educators.) Our form of government requires Godly morals and values which the liberals decry. Without these Christian morals and values our democracy will degenerate into license to sin at the least, or anarchy or out-right tyranny. Knowing the truth is essential for the maintenance of our personal and national freedoms. However, truth seems to have been case out and trodden down in the streets of our current political and educational system.
The result is “strong delusion” because of our liberal president (Obama) and leftist lawmakers, our politicians rejecting truth (facts) are themselves deceived regarding our national liberty, ethics and morality. The strong delusion makes them believe a lie. They are adamant in their convictions because they believe they are right and the truth or facts cannot dissuade them from their path. They just do not accept facts because they interfere with their ideas and agenda which they are convinced is the way to go. They are actually following the will of Satan leading straight into bondage of all kinds and denying liberty and freedom of choice, freedom of self determination, freedom of property, and freedom from tyranny and oppression.
Jesus foretold that before His return to earth that there would be great deception:
Matthew 24:11 – And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Those who are deceived have put their confidence in something that is not true; they believe a lie. The purpose of a lie is to deceive and strong delusion is systematically destroying our nation, our economy and our freedoms. To counter this we are instructed in the Bible to resist the enemy, the father of liars:
James 4:7 – Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
And the way to resist the enemy is with the power of prayer and use of God’s Word – bringing forth TRUTH. Therefore, the only possible solution to slow or stop this progression of America’s slide into godless liberalism and socialism begins with PRAYER. Pray, asking God to intervene since these liberals reject facts, truth and righteousness that is presented to them. Pray to bind (prohibit) Satan’s influence over them.
Matthew 18:18 – Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be
bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Pray for them that they accept Christ and be converted, that they come to the knowledge of the truth and that they be set free themselves from the enemies influence; that they be delivered from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His light, with its truth and righteousness. Pray that they be freed from the bondage and lies of Satan – the real source of sin, confusion, poverty, pain and suffering. Pray for these liberals, they need to be set free; and for our nation, not only as we approach our nation’s anniversary, but daily.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Matthew 18:19 – Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
